Ann Arbor is a wonderful, small city with many amenities, including those that facilitate "green living." In addition to automobiles, currently available transportation options include walking, biking, and taking the bus. In the future, there may be viable rail options as well. This blog aims to look at transportation alternatives for those living and working within Tree Town and work out viable strategy for reducing one's use of a car.
I am a resident of Ann Arbor who lives 3 miles from work. Since July, 2008, I've been commuting to work by bike whenever possible. I am interested in Ann Arbor's evolving transportation infrastructure and in figuring out the practical challenges of reducing my dependence on my car.
